How to use:
You may need to gather your water report from your local city supplier or perform the testing yourself by sending a water sample to an agricultural laboratory.
1.) Enter the magnesium content in your water supply in parts per million.
2.) Enter the calcium content in your water supply in parts per million.
3.) Enter the total alkalinity as calcium carbonate (CaCO3).
Mash pH: This is the estimated mash pH using base malts. For darker beers it is best to target a pH of 6.1 as the dark roasted malts are acidic and will bring down the mash pH to proper levels. If brewing a light colored beer it is best to target a pH of 5.6.
